Location: New York

We are partnering with a well‑established NYC‑based general contractor to find an experienced Project Superintendent I to join their team. This firm has been delivering major residential and mixed‑use developments across New York City for decades.

What you'll be doing:
  • Overseeing day‑to‑day field operations and driving projects to on‑time completion
  • Scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and consultants along the critical path
  • Leading quality control programs and ensuring all work meets plans, specs, and code requirements
  • Identifying and resolving conflicts in construction progress; issuing non‑compliance notices when needed
  • Presiding over weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Maintaining detailed daily logs, reports, and punch list documentation
  • Monitoring jobsite safety compliance and enforcing environmental and health standards
  • Reviewing construction drawings to flag potential conflicts and recommend improvements
  • Managing General Conditions labor, equipment, and materials
What they're looking for:
  • NYC DOB Licensed Superintendent
  • 6–10 years of Project Superintendent experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction trades, union/non‑union/prevailing wage requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret site safety plans, specs, and procedure manuals
  • Solid understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; confident leading subcontractor meetings
  • Strong planning, problem‑solving, and leadership skills
Nice to have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
  • NYC high‑rise residential experience
  • NYCHA renovation background
  • Gut renovation and/or affordable housing project experience
