Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join a winning team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial drywall estimating, with proven experience using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid software. The role is responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and supporting successful project bidding and execution.

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for drywall, framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, and related scopes using OST
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates using Quick Bid
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and production costs
• Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and leadership during preconstruction and bid phases
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents, and historical pricing data
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope review meetings as needed

• Minimum 3-5 years of drywall estimating experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of drywall systems, framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation and finishing scopes
• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Quick Bid, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Office located in Suffolk County, NY with sites in NYC area. Hybrid work schedule of home, office and site visits.
