Lead high‑value federal construction projects from planning through completion while delivering quality, compliance, and results.
Position SummaryThe Construction Project Manager IV leads complex, high‑value design and construction projects for government facilities. This role oversees all phases from planning through occupancy while managing scope, budget, schedule, and contractor performance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage large‑scale construction projects from planning through closeout
- Develop project plans, cost estimates, schedules, and procurement strategies
- Serve as on‑site project manager, overseeing daily field operations and resolving complex issues
- Review and approve design documents, submittals, and project deliverables
- Ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, and quality requirements
- Provide technical expertise across building systems and construction practices
- Coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, and government stakeholders
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong stakeholder communication
- Maintain project documentation and ensure delivery on scope, schedule, and budget
- Travel to project sites as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and/or ten years of experience managing design and construction projects.
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems, with the ability to solve complex technical and project challenges.
- Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading and interpreting construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, acquisition staff, contractors, financial managers, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high‑value projects simultaneously.
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management and estimating software.
