Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager - New York, NY
Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager responsible for leading and managing electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout in a large‑scale corporate fit‑out environment.
Responsibilities- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Assist in the development and management of project strategic plans and program initiatives to meet the goals and needs of the owner.
- Act as owner’s advisor with primary responsibility for all phases of the project.
- Manage overall planning, design, and construction processes and orchestrate all design and construction activities.
- Guide clients through design and construction complexities, incorporating ownership priorities into design, construction logistics, sequencing, and design management of architecture and engineering teams.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other project team members to meet project objectives and resolve issues.
- Lead all contract‑related activities, including negotiation, drafting, and execution.
- Manage overall project budget and schedule; report to project team and client regularly.
- Lead proposal review, leveling, and analysis and present to the client.
- Lead selection process for all consultants and vendors, including preparation of RFQ/RFP, research, comparison of firms, recommendation, negotiation of terms, and team selection within firms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
- Experience with large‑scale corporate fit‑out, healthcare, mission‑critical, data center, higher education, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with AV systems, structured cabling, low‑voltage systems, and IT‑related electrical infrastructure, including coordination with technology integrators and network teams.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, codes, and industry standards.
- Proven experience managing projects with significant electrical scopes and multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
- Firm knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequences, and architectural/construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.
The salary range for this full‑time role is $–$ per year. Ranges are determined based on position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good‑faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, not the total compensation package.
