Job Title: Steel Estimator

Salary: $150,000+ DOE + Annual Bonus

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs for structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Price materials, fabrication, erection, coatings, freight, and connections.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Assess labour requirements and project costs.
• Identify project risks, scheduling constraints, and constructability challenges.
• Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
• Attend bid review meetings with company leadership.
• Liaise with general contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Support project handover and contract negotiations following award.

• Minimum 5 years of structural steel estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyse construction drawings.
• Established relationships with major general contractors and industry contacts.
• Track record of generating or securing approximately $2M-$3M+ of work annually.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Stable work history and strong professional presence.
