WhatYou'll Do
- Prepare and/or review payment applications, perform desk audits of contractor billings, ensure proper documentation is received from contractors for all contract aspects, prepare monthly reports, monitor contracts, prepare Project Meeting Minutes, and prepare general correspondence.
- Assist with shop drawing tracking and distribution.
- Notify contractors immediately of all new change orders and time and material work; ensure tracking and signing tickets daily for all time and material work; accurately document change order work and time and material work on Daily Inspector’s Reports.
- Prepare and/or review change orders and prepare estimates and scopes for proposed change order processing.
- Ensure construction photos are taken regularly and properly filed under the system developed and maintained by the Project Controls Manager.
- Attend technical meetings and CPM update meetings as required; prepare input for the monthly report as needed.
- Maintain documentation for contract closeout, including requirements for controlled inspections, occupation or use prior to completion, substantial completion, spare parts turnover log, and CM equipment tracking logs.
- Display strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and work in a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines and oversight of a team of sub‑consultants.
- Assist Environmental, Health, and Safety professionals with site safety verifications of contractor work activities, notifying contractors of and documenting concerns.
- Track extra work, net cost work, and classified item work; follow through with contract closeouts. - A bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related field).
- Substantial professional experience in heavy civil construction projects.
- Proficiency in using computers to prepare reports with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Physical ability to move around an active construction site.
- Experience with NYC DEP.
- Proficiency with web‑based construction document management platforms.
- Excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver results.
- Working knowledge of construction scheduling and document controls software.
- Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, self‑motivation, team‑oriented work practices, and strong data analysis and technical problem‑solving skills.

The base salary range for this position is $104,000 to $135,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
