The Role – Cost ManagerThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Cost Manager to join a fast‑growing consultancy with clear progression pathways. You’ll take ownership of cost management responsibilities across a variety of high‑profile projects, providing expert advice and ensuring successful delivery from inception to close out.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare Order of Cost Estimates, Cost Plans, Tender Documents, and Contract Documents.
- Lead cost reporting and financial management across projects, ensuring robust tracking of budgets, forecasts, and cashflow.
- Administer and chair cost meetings, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution of documentation.
- Manage contractor cost submissions, variations, and change orders.
- Utilize the company’s cost management platform to monitor and report project financials.
- Partner with Project Managers during construction to review schedules, provisional sums, and CDP packages.
- Oversee monthly assessments, valuations, and preparation of final accounts.
- Produce detailed monthly reports and ensure accurate financial tracking of all projects.
- Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 4–8 years’ experience in construction cost management or quantity surveying.
- Proven experience across both pre‑ and post‑contract phases.
- Strong knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
- U.S. citizenship, existing/transferable right to work in the U.S., or eligibility for an E2 or E3 visa.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and cost management software.
