Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate budgets, conducting quantity take-offs, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and maintaining budgets for ongoing projects. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our project managers and ensuring the financial success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed and accurate project budgets to provide clients with a clear understanding of overall project costs.
- Perform comprehensive quantity and cost take-offs to support accurate bidding and project planning.
- Prepare and issue project bids, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and deadlines are met.
- Qualify subcontractor proposals, assessing their capabilities and financial stability to ensure successful project completion.
- Monitor and maintain budgets for ongoing projects, making adjustments as necessary to reflect changes in scope or unforeseen costs.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Qualifications
- 5–12 years of estimating experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project cost management.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong ability to analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive estimates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
