Junior Construction Estimator

Certified Of New York Inc. is a New York-based construction company specializing in high-level hospitality and high-end residential projects. We are looking for a full-time Junior Construction Estimator with at least 2 years of construction estimating experience to help review project documents, prepare cost estimates, request vendor pricing, and support our estimating and project management team.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with numbers, and interested in growing their estimating career in high-quality residential and hospitality construction.

Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 per year, based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person, New York, NY

• Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, photos, and bid documents.
• Assist with preparing construction cost estimates and proposals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and subcontractor scopes.
• Request pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Compare quotes and organize estimate information.
• Help calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Track bid deadlines, revisions, addenda, and estimate updates.
• Communicate with internal team members to clarify scope, quantities, and project requirements.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, vendor pricing, and project documents.
• Support project managers and senior team members as needed.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related construction role.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Ability to assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and general computer tools.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
• Ability to work full-time in person in New York, NY.

• Experience with high-end residential, hospitality, interior construction, or luxury build‑outs.
• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, Procore, or estimating software.
• Ability to read architectural or construction drawings.
• Familiarity with construction materials, trades, and subcontractor scopes.
• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
