Location: New York

Bound Construction is a dynamic Construction Management firm seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for a New York-based role with projects throughout the Tri-State area. Candidate should have over 5 years of construction experience, with expertise in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, budgets, scope changes, and other project documents using Procore.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders to report on project progress.
  • Communicate project risks and propose mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Initiate and coordinate critical project meetings with internal staff, stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the project team.
  • Develop and manage project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Oversee construction progress and ensure updates are documented and reported.
  • Expertly interpret and manage construction drawings and documentation.
  • Outline and submit specifications as required.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project scope and delivery methods.
  • Apply knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards to ensure quality and safety.
  • Negotiate and manage prime contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements while protecting financial interests and fostering positive client relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties, including customers and vendors.
  • Manage the design process to ensure timely delivery of quality and budget-conscious documents.
  • Lead and supervise a small to mid-sized team, ensuring effective and independent work.
  • Create and validate financial forecasts for upcoming project activities.
  • Develop bid packages and solicit proposals as per client policies.
  • Identify and address potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate their impact or capitalize on opportunities.
  • Develop feasible phasing plans and schedules that meet end-user needs using MS Project or similar tools.
Essential

Skills and Abilities:
  • Cultivate relationships within client organizations to coordinate work and make decisions effectively.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organization, with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a proactive and independent work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to comprehend ARCH & MEP drawings and reports, with a focus on identifying potential improvements for project implementation.
Required

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
  • Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • 5–7 years of relevant construction industry experience.
  • Experience in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.
  • Experience with healthcare construction projects is highly preferred.
