Hoxton is a client-side workplace partner working across real estate, workplace strategy, workplace environment, and the wider decisions that shape workplace performance.
We're built for clients who want clear thinking, commercial judgement, and delivery that holds up in the real world. We say what we think, we make the call, and we stay close to the work from first conversation through to handover.
This is not a business built on layers, scripts, or politics. It's built on the people who do the work, and we're careful about who we bring in to represent us.
What We Are Recruiting ForAs a Project Manager working with Hoxton on a contract basis, you'll be our presence on the ground, across the delivery of a new office for one of our clients. There's potential to support additional engagements across the Americas where the opportunity arises.
We're supporting a global technology consultancy on the delivery of a new NYC office. The project involves an approximately 8,000 sq ft landlord-delivered fit-out, the decommissioning of the client's existing office and the relocation of their team into the new workspace. The engagement runs from immediate start through approximately December 2026, covering construction, move and punchlist, with programme subject to change.
You'll work directly with the Hoxton lead on the engagement, acting as our local boots on the ground. The landlord owns construction delivery. The Hoxton lead owns the client relationship, design management and programme oversight. You'll own everything that needs to happen on the ground, with a particular focus on the decommissioning and move work streams.
We deliver projects across the Americas. While NYC is the immediate focus of this engagement, we may look to extend the contract to support other projects in the region where there's a fit.
This is a part-time contract role, working alongside our team for the duration of the engagement.
What You Will Do- Act as our on-site representative through construction, snagging and handover, giving the Hoxton lead clear visibility of progress, risks and quality on the ground.
- Build and maintain working relationships with the landlord's project manager, general contractor, building management and vendor teams to enable early visibility of issues and effective local coordination.
- Own the decommissioning of the client's existing office end to end, including inventory, disposal, donation, asset recovery, IT decommissioning, lease handback condition and certification.
- Plan and deliver the relocation of the client's team into the new workspace, including move planning, vendor selection and management, sequencing, internal communications support, day-of execution and first-week settling.
- Coordinate locally across landlord, building management, vendors and the client's New York team, representing us in all relevant forums.
- Monitor delivery against agreed design intent and flag inconsistencies, quality concerns or programme impacts at the earliest opportunity.
- Maintain site records, photographic logs and concise written updates on a cadence agreed with the Hoxton lead.
- Attend key meetings, inspections and handover activities throughout the engagement.
- Track issues and risks through to resolution and don't let them drift.
- Flex commitment across the engagement as the project moves through phases, with heavier involvement expected around critical milestones including move week.
- Where we extend the engagement to other projects in the Americas, support those projects as agreed.
- Support other requirements as appropriate.
- Demonstrated experience delivering commercial workplace and office fit-out projects in New York City, with a working knowledge of how the local market operates.
- Experience working alongside landlord-delivered programmes and a clear understanding of where the typical points of friction sit between landlord, tenant and consultant teams.
- Genuine ownership experience of office relocations and decommissioning, rather than adjacent or supporting involvement.
- A background in workplace project management, tenant representation, corporate interiors, owner's representation or commercial office delivery…
