Resident Engineer – Water/Wastewater Construction Management

We are looking for a Resident Engineer to join our construction management team in the New York City area. The role focuses on construction management services for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and pipeline construction projects.

• Supervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultants within the five boroughs.
• Support construction safety implementation through understanding of safety requirements.
• Assist with project controls activities such as schedule control, cost control, change management, risk management, and reporting tools.
• Maintain accurate daily records of the contractor's daily activities and the work performed, and of the labor, equipment and materials used.
• Review contractor progress payment requests.
• Enforce contract documents including plans and specifications.
• Assist during inspection of start-up and commissioning activities.

• Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience performing construction management, of which minimum 3 years in water/wastewater projects.
• Registration: NYS PE (Required), CCM (Preferred), ENVSP (Preferred).
• 30 HROSHA safety training.
• 5+ years on DEP projects.
• Proficiency in the use of computers to prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in/for municipal agencies or utility infrastructure organizations.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond proactively in a high-paced environment and willingness to adjust and respond effectively to changes.

Individual pay is determined based on work location, education, experience, and unique skills. The expected salary for this position is $152,000 - $186,000.
