Junior Estimator

Location: Long Island City, NY

Compensation: $70,000 – $100,000+ (commensurate with experience)

A growing NYC restoration and exterior construction contractor is seeking a Junior Estimator to join its expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in estimating, project engineering, architecture, construction administration, or project coordination who is looking to develop into a Senior Estimator or Project Manager.

Working alongside experienced estimators and project managers, you'll gain exposure to facade restoration, waterproofing, roofing, exterior envelope, and building rehabilitation projects throughout New York City.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in preparing cost estimates and proposals.
• Analyze project scopes, labor requirements, and material quantities.
• Assist with pricing, bid preparation, and preconstruction activities.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and pre-bid walkthroughs.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
• Support RFIs, submittals, scope reviews, change orders, and project turnover.
• Track project documentation and maintain organized bid files.
• Assist in supporting projects from preconstruction through execution.

• Experience in estimating, project engineering, project coordination, architecture, construction administration, or a related construction role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and reviewing project scopes.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Plan Swift, AutoCAD, Procore, or similar construction software preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with restoration, facade, waterproofing, roofing, concrete, scaffolding, exterior envelope, or general contracting is highly desirable.
