Dispatch Energy is a private investment firm focused on distributed energy assets across the United States. We develop, own, and operate a diversified portfolio of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), fuel cells, solar PV, and hybrid distributed generation projects — targeting commercial, industrial, and institutional customers where behind‑the‑meter (BTM) energy solutions can deliver immediate, measurable value. Our current portfolio includes more than 450 MW of assets in operation, development, and under construction.
We also acquire seasoned project opportunities from local developers
Dispatch Energy maintains a disciplined investment and development operation that creates value at every stage of the project lifecycle — from the first client conversation through decades of optimized asset operation.
About the RoleDispatch Energy is seeking an experienced, safety‑driven Director, Construction to lead the delivery and construction of our distributed generation solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), wind, and fuel cell projects. Reporting to the Senior Director of Construction and Operations, this role owns project execution from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through commercial operation (COD) — directing project managers, EPC partners, and subcontractors across a multi‑state portfolio while upholding Dispatch Energy's commitment to safety, quality, and on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
Just as importantly, this role leads the newly established Project Delivery group — the Manager, Project Delivery and the Analyst, Pre‑Construction Estimator — so that projects arrive at NTP fully scoped, budgeted, and construction‑ready. This is the role that owns the whole arc: from a project's pre‑NTP readiness, through construction, to a clean handoff to Asset Management and O&M.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on construction leader with deep solar and storage experience who can manage concurrent projects, drive a zero‑incident safety culture, and bridge field, engineering, and commercial considerations to deliver high‑performing renewable energy assets.

Cost, Schedule & Contract Management
- Own construction budgets, cost‑to‑complete forecasts, and project profit and loss from NTP through closeout.
- Manage EPC and subcontractor contracts, scopes of work, buyouts, and change‑order negotiation and defense.
- Develop and maintain integrated construction schedules; identify and mitigate critical‑path and schedule risk.
