Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced NYC Department of Buildings Licensed Site Safety Manager (SSM) to provide on-site safety consulting throughout New York City. The successful candidate will monitor site safety, maintain required documentation, and assist project teams in complying with NYC DOB Chapter 33, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the designated NYC DOB Licensed Site Safety Manager.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and document observations.
- Monitor compliance with NYC DOB Chapter 33, OSHA, and project safety requirements.
- Maintain Site Safety Logs, inspection reports, and required documentation.
- Communicate safety observations and recommended corrective actions to project personnel.
- Coordinate with project teams and regulatory agencies during inspections.
- Participate in safety meetings and incident reviews.
- Verify required worker certifications and documentation.
- Prepare timely, accurate reports using digital safety management platforms.
- Valid NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager License.
- Minimum five years of NYC construction site safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code Chapter 33 and OSHA 29 CFR 1926.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital reporting platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience on high-rise or major infrastructure projects.
- OSHA 500/510, CPR/First Aid, CSP, or CHST certifications.
- Experience with Procore, iAuditor, Safety Culture, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
- Annual earnings of $115,000–$250,000+, based on experience, overtime, and project assignments.
