Senior Construction Inspector Job Description
Dewberry is seeking multiple Senior Construction Inspectors to work on projects in the greater NYC metropolitan area. To qualify, candidates must have prior construction inspection experience on NYCDDC and/or NYSTA projects and possess NICET II, III, or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent. DDC Water Main Training, NJSAT, ACI, and Rutgers TCC certifications and knowledge of Site Manager are also desirable.
Additional requirements include excellent communication skills, the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and the ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
- Minimum 10 years of prior construction inspection experience on NYCDDC or NYSTA projects.
- Must possess NICET II, III, or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent.
- OSHA 10‑hour certification.
- DDC Water Main Training, NJSAT, ACI, and Rutgers TCC certifications and knowledge of Site Manager are also desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
- Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
- Ability to repeatedly stoop, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 25 lbs (body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes) and stand for long periods on varied surfaces.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Salary RangeThe projected range for this position is $83,000–$150,000 annually. Depending upon other factors—skills, experience, location, market conditions—the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
