Construction Estimator – Structural / Concrete Restoration

With offices in New York City and northern New Jersey, our team brings deep local expertise and a proven track record of successfully delivering challenging restoration projects.

This role focuses on self‑performed structural and concrete restoration work across a range of complex projects that enhance the durability and longevity of critical infrastructure and commercial structures. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and demonstrates strong communication skills, sound judgment under deadlines, leadership capability through mentoring and team development, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates by performing detailed quantity takeoffs, applying labor productivity and production rate analysis, procuring material and equipment pricing, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor proposals, and integrating all project cost components into a complete and accurate estimate.
• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and final bid estimates while defining and quantifying project scope based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions to ensure full scope coverage and risk identification.
• Develop preliminary construction schedules, including sequencing, phasing, and duration assumptions, to support pricing accuracy and bid strategy.
• Lead bid review meetings with internal stakeholders to align on pursuit strategy, validate pricing assumptions, and ensure comprehensive and accurate final submissions.
• Develop comprehensive proposals, including clearly defined scopes of work, project approach, and detailed inclusions and exclusions to ensure clarity, completeness, and risk mitigation.
• Proactively engage with clients and industry partners throughout the bid process to obtain feedback, strengthen relationships, and support ongoing business development efforts.
• Collaborate with operations, project management, and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive estimating experience, with strong preference for candidates experienced in self‑performed concrete restoration.
