HVAC Estimator – Manhattan Mechanical Contractor

Location: Manhattan, NY

Salary: Up to $150,000 + Benefits

An established Manhattan mechanical contractor is looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator to join its team. This is a great opportunity to work on a range of commercial projects across Manhattan and the wider New York City area.

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Complete quantity takeoffs for HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and equipment.
• Prepare accurate labour, material, and subcontractor estimates.
• Request and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documents.
• Work with project managers to hand over awarded projects.
• Price change orders when required.
• Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

• 5–7 years of HVAC estimating experience with a mechanical contractor.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates and takeoffs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Bluebeam, Quote Soft, FastDUCT, Trimble, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Able to manage multiple bids and work to deadlines.
