Project Estimator

Overview

Our client is a New York City general contractor specializing in high-quality commercial tenant fit-out and interior construction projects. We deliver office, corporate headquarters, retail, hospitality and workplace renovation projects, partnering closely with clients, architects and consultants from preconstruction through completion.

• Assist with quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare subcontractor and supplier bid packages.
• Solicit, evaluate and compare subcontractor quotations.
• Assist in preparing conceptual budgets and detailed estimates.
• Maintain pricing databases and historical cost information.
• Support value engineering exercises and cost-saving initiatives.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings.
• Review drawings for scope gaps and constructability.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, architects and clients during preconstruction.
• Help prepare tender submissions, cost reports and estimate presentations.
• Track estimate revisions and maintain organized bid documentation.

• 1–4 years of estimating, quantity surveying, cost management or construction experience.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred.
• Experience with commercial interiors or tenant fit-out projects is highly desirable.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore or similar construction software is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
