We have an immediate need for an Estimator or Sr. Estimator to join the Design & Construction Team. The project client is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

• Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff and contract management on complex matters.
• Review orders on contract for compliance with contract/procedures.
• Manage all orders on contract for projects within the Division of Construction – Region 5.
• Estimate and negotiate orders on contract with contractors in accordance with the contract.
• Assist with the review of project claims when requested.
• Develop cost estimates for project teams.

Position can be based at any of these upstate NY locations:
Comstock, Dannemora, Malone, Saranac Lake, Rome, Marcy, Watertown.

• For Estimator
  :
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in cost estimating, including component preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems for building construction projects, and negotiation of cost proposals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or associate’s degree with 2 years of construction estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with construction estimating software such as Means Cost Works.
• For Sr. Estimator
  :
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in cost estimating, including component preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems for building construction projects, and negotiation of cost proposals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field with 2 years of construction estimating experience, or associate’s degree with 4 years of construction estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with construction estimating software such as Means Cost Works.
• OSHA 10 certification.

  Minimum $80,000 – $109,000 yearly salary.
