Assistant Superintendent

Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Superintendent Build Your Career While Managing Projects from the Field to the Office

Responsibilities

+ Support the management of commercial renovation and tenant fit-out projects from preconstruction through closeout.

+ Coordinate daily field activities, subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics.

+ Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.

+ Monitor project progress and communicate updates to Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, and stakeholders.

+ Conduct site walks and inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications.

+ Help manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and project documentation.

+ Enforce OSHA and company safety standards on job sites.

+ Track material deliveries, site progress, and subcontractor performance.

+ Identify and help resolve field issues, schedule impacts, and coordination challenges.

+ Maintain daily reports and project records.

+ Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and project closeout activities.

Qualifications

+ 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, construction management, or field supervision.

+

Experience with renovation, tenant fit-out, interior construction, or commercial projects.

+ Understanding of construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.

+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

+ Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and construction best practices.

+ Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.

+

Experience with wood-frame or multifamily construction is beneficial but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Latham, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
