Development Manager

Our client is a successful Family Office with a track record of completing major projects in various market sectors. As they complete their multifamily work which has been a cornerstone of their portfolio for years, they are now embarking on a journey to develop small national assets for their JV partnerships with nursing homes and private schools. This role will oversee all development and construction activities from acquisition through to occupancy - this includes team selection, design development, planning / zoning, permitting, construction oversight and close out.

You will be considered for this role if you have proof of the following:

• Experience on National Small Project Roll outs of at least 10 projects / year
• Project experience on large projects but also small projects in the 1-4 million dollar hard cost range
• Live in a commutable distance to the Nassau / Queens border
• Have true development experience ranging from planning, zoning, permitting, team selection, design development, gc selection, construction oversight and close out.
• The ability to navigate, and proven experience doin this, a small company that is not always familiar with 'best practices' or industry standards - thus requiring you to occasionally debate, navigate, and communicate the best way forward on projects.
• A professional demeanor with the ability to present to banks / investors, JV partners, community boards, and project stakeholders
• The ability to travel 25-50% of the time throughout the country (depending on project phases).
• Project Experience that includes retail, commercial office, medical, private school, or other small commercial renovation projects (and some ground up).

Salary 200-250k, depending on experience.
