Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction

New York City (Five Boroughs)

Maven Search Group is representing one of New York City's premier Heavy Civil General Contractors in the search for an experienced Project Engineer
. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong backlog of work across bridges, highways, underground utilities, transit, marine, and other major infrastructure projects throughout the five boroughs.

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field operations.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking, and forecasting.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate material procurement and deliveries.
• Attend project meetings with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.

• 5–8 years of Project Engineering experience with a Heavy Civil General Contractor.
• Experience on heavy civil projects including roadway, bridge, utility, transit, marine, or infrastructure construction.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project is preferred.
