Commercial Programming Systems, Inc. (CPS) is an Information Technology consulting and staffing company offering a broad range of services aimed at helping our clients deliver high-quality, cost-effective systems.

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will oversee both self-performed and subcontracted work, coordinate daily field activities, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration. You'll serve as the primary leader on the job site, working closely with project managers, trade partners, and clients to drive successful project execution.

75% travel nationwide.

• Lead Daily Field Operations
• Conduct daily kickoff meetings to review project goals, work assignments, safety expectations, and daily priorities.
• Assign work based on team members' skills and experience to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are available, operational, and staged for the day's work.
• Monitor daily progress, identify and resolve field issues, and escape concerns when appropriate.
• Lead end-of-day reviews to evaluate progress, address challenges, and prepare for upcoming work.
• Project Execution
• Oversee the installation of self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring it meets project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
• Develop and execute work sequencing plans, coordinate site logistics, and manage labor, equipment, and material resources.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of project schedules and critical milestones while communicating updates to all stakeholders.
• Take ownership of project performance by proactively managing schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, inspections, commissioning, and owner training.

• Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety across all job site activities.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and contract requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and company quality standards.
• Leadership & Communication
• Lead, mentor, and develop field personnel to build a high-performing team.
• Foster collaboration and maintain strong working relationships with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of communication between field operations and project leadership.
• Represent the company professionally in meetings and interactions with clients, vendors, and trade partners.
• Documentation & Project Controls
• Maintain accurate daily reports, including labor, production, delays, issues, photos, and completed work.
• Possess a working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
• Assist with project cost tracking, staffing plans, general conditions, and key project performance metrics.
• Identify risks early and implement practical solutions to overcome field challenges and maintain project momentum.

• 5+ years of field experience in structured cabling, low-voltage construction, or commercial construction supervision

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience delivering large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Mission-critical or data center construction experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing field teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, contract administration, site logistics, equipment management, and field operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field teams while effectively communicating with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable building and safety codes.

• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Plan Grid, Fieldwire, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.

This is an active, field-based position requiring regular movement throughout active construction sites. Team members should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs and ladders, and working around construction equipment. The role requires frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Candidates must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Strong verbal communication skills and visual acuity for reading plans, inspecting work, and identifying safety concerns are essential. While primarily field-based, the position also includes office work involving computer use, document review, and meetings.
