construction project manager level 3 / asbestos project supervisor will report directly to the director of the asbestos department in the healthy homes department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • oversee nycha’s asbestos vendor abatement activities to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local asbestos regulations, including nyc dep, nys dol, osha/epa requirements, and nycha project requirements.
  • plan, manage, and implement daily asbestos abatement project schedules.
  • liaise between property management staff, asbestos department staff, vendors, and consultants across citywide developments to ensure successful scheduling, access, and completion of required asbestos abatement projects.
  • manage maximo work orders daily for work scheduled for nycha.
  • ensure asbestos abatement projects are scheduled in a timely manner, performed in compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, contract, and project requirements, and property management is updated upon completion of the work.
  • prepare field reports and presentations assigned.
  • review daily reports from field inspectors and ensure proper escalation to the asbestos leadership team.
  • prepare weekly project status reports and submit them to the responsible asbestos leadership.
  • ensure that field inspectors maintain accurate, complete, and current project records and update the project management system accordingly.
  • maintain familiarity with applicable building codes, asbestos regulations, and governmental requirements.
