Lead design-build projects from concept through closeout.
Full-Time
· Ridgewood, NY (field + office) [L train, Brooklyn/Queens Border]
Reports to:
Director of Operations
Studio 467 is a Ridgewood, NY–based design-build with a reputation for thoughtful, high-quality work that’s built to last. Our projects span restaurants, cafés, and bakeries to full gut renovations of residential buildings and small multifamily projects. We have an exciting client roster including Radio Bakery, La Marzocco, and Rolo's. We are a small, nimble team with exacting standards, and every person we bring on plays a meaningful role in the outcome of our projects.
We are small but mighty, with exceptional opportunity for growth for the right candidate.
We’re looking for a Project Manager who can own the full lifecycle of a design-build project — from early design coordination through construction administration and final closeout. This is a leadership role suited to someone who is as comfortable reviewing shop drawings as they are meeting with a client or walking a job site. You’ll work directly with the Managing Member and collaborate closely with our site supervisors, architects, tradespeople, and vendors.
Architects interested in being involved in both design and build project management should apply, as this job can include both design and build components in varying proportions for the right applicant.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work
- Coordinate design development with architects, engineers, and interior designers
- Manage permit applications and ensure code compliance across all project types
- Issue RFIs, review submittals, and manage change orders
- Oversee procurement and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships
- Conduct regular site visits; coordinate with Site Supervisors on field execution
- Prepare and track subcontracts and payment applications
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively
- Lead project closeout including punch lists, documentation, and owner training
- 2+ years of project management experience in construction or design-build (or equivalent architectural experience)
- Experience with commercial fit-outs — hospitality (restaurants, cafés, retail) a bonus
- Familiarity with residential renovation and multi-unit or small building gut renovations
- Solid understanding of construction means and methods, MEP coordination, and finish work
- Proficiency with project management tools
- Strong command of construction documentation: schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving small-firm environment
- Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
- Ownership over your projects — not a cog in a large machine
- A portfolio that spans hospitality, residential, and adaptive reuse
- A collaborative, no-ego team environment
- Opportunity to grow with a growing firm
- Paid vacation and holidays
- Health benefits upon eligibility
