A leading Heavy Civil contractor is looking to hire a Project Engineer to join their growing Heavy Civil division in Brooklyn due to a strong pipeline of infrastructure work across New York City and the surrounding boroughs.

As a Heavy Civil Project Engineer, you will work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, supporting the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion.

You will play a key role in coordinating project documentation, subcontractors, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and field operations while gaining exposure to complex Heavy Civil construction throughout New York City.

• Assist with the delivery of Heavy Civil projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Support Project Managers with project scheduling, cost tracking, and documentation
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Monitor project progress and assist with maintaining budgets and schedules
  
  Work closely with Superintendents to resolve field issues and improve project delivery
• Ensure work complies with DOT specifications, contract documents, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Attend project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders

• Base salary between $120,000 - $145,000

• 4-8 years of experience as a Project Engineer within Heavy Civil construction
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Experience working on Heavy Civil, Heavy Highway, bridge, excavation, underground utility, or public infrastructure projects
• Experience on DOT, MTA, DEP, Port Authority, or other public works projects is highly desirable
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in construction documentation, RFIs, submittals, and project coordination
• Eager to develop a long-term career within Heavy Civil Project Management
