Role Description The Assistant Project Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Queens Village, NY. This position supports project planning and coordination, including scheduling work, tracking progress, and ensuring materials, equipment, and inspections are in place on time. The role involves assisting with expediting permits and approvals, communicating with vendors, inspectors, and internal teams, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
The Assistant Project Manager also helps monitor site activities for adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards, and supports the Project Manager in resolving logistical and operational issues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in permit processing, document submission, and follow-up with agencies.
- Candidates should possess skills in Project Management to assist with scheduling, coordination, documentation, and progress tracking.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inspection to support site visits, compliance checks, and quality control activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Logistics Management to coordinate materials, deliveries, and on-site resources.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with project teams, vendors, and officials.
- Ability to work on-site in Queens, NY, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate in a construction environment.
- Prior experience in construction or civil engineering support roles is beneficial; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
