Superintendent- Commercial Construction-Night Shifts

Location: Rye Brook

Schimenti Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to support night shifts (8:30pm-8:00am) at a retail construction project in Clifton Park, New York.  As a Superintendent, you will provide leadership and supervision at a Schimenti construction site and ensure consistent safety measures are observed by all team members.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee field operations of commercial construction projects

* Manage subcontractors, laborers, and others at the job site

* Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and teams

* Daily interaction and communication with Field and Project Management standpoint

* Coordinate task completion and schedules with trade partners

* Verify dimensions and layouts

* Ensure all submittals are completed in a timely manner

* Maintain daily focus on job site safety and ensure security of project perimeter

* Responsible for updating daily logs and photos

* Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts

* Monitor project costs, which include labor time and materials

* Attend and participate in required weekly project and subcontractor meetings

Qualifications and Experience

* Proven experience managing complex commerical construction projects on short timetables

* Strong multi-tasking and time management skills

* Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications

* Collaborative and team-oriented

* High school diploma required, trade school or college education preferred

* 10 or 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certificate

* Ability to work with tools to perform various phases of construction work is a plus

Software Systems:

* Microsoft Office experience required

* Procore experience highly preferred

* Timberline/Sage experience preferred

* Basic working knowledge of Zoom or MS Teams
