The Project Manager I manages defined scopes of work on active ground-up projects under the direction of a Senior Project Manager. You own your trades end to end — procurement through closeout. That means requisitions, submittals, change orders, trade coordination, and keeping the SPM and Superintendent connected on field constraints and schedule status. This is not a support role. You are accountable for the accuracy and completeness of everything that comes out of your scope — including the work of any APMs under you.

You are expected to make decisions within your authority, flag what falls outside it, and close your own action items.

• Manage assigned trades through procurement, coordination, execution, and closeout under SPM guidance

• Prepare and review monthly requisitions for assigned trades, verifying progress quantities and supporting documentation

• Review submittals and shop drawings for conformity with design intent and coordination with other trades

• Coordinate assigned trades among themselves and with adjacent scopes managed by other PMs

• Maintain change event and change order logs for assigned scopes; assist with pricing and documentation

• Communicate field progress and constraints to the SPM and Superintendent to support schedule updates

• Lead trade and consultant meetings as delegated; ensure timely closure of action items

• Mentor APMs assigned to the same scopes, reinforcing consistency and accuracy in documentation

What We're Looking For:

• 4–6 years of progressive construction management experience in New York City

• Ground-up multifamily or mixed-use project experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required

• Proficiency in Procore, Asana, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Sage Intacct

• Solid understanding of drawings, specs, and trade interactions

• Current NYC SST card required

• NYC DOB Construction Superintendent credential preferred; required for advancement

Compensation: $125,000–$145,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits package. Vorea Construction Group is an equal opportunity employer.
