Construction General Laborer

This role supports asphalt paving and construction projects by performing a wide range of manual labor tasks. You prepare job sites, handle materials, operate basic tools and equipment, and assist with paving and grading operations to ensure projects run safely and efficiently.

• Assist with asphalt paving, grading, and general site preparation.
• Shovel, rake, and smooth asphalt to support quality paving operations.
• Help establish proper site grades, elevations, and slopes.
• Perform general construction tasks, including pipe installation and concrete work.
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials.
• Operate hand tools and basic construction equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work closely with crew members to complete projects on schedule.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Support various construction, paving, and site work activities as needed.

• Ability to perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Ability to team lift up to 100 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to use basic hand tools and construction equipment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work safely in a team environment
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Previous experience with site preparation, equipment operation, grading, paving, asphalt, or concrete beneficial

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elma, NY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
