Civil Supervisor

Tradeco Construction is seeking a hands-on Working Civil Foreman to lead civil construction activities utility solar projects throughout New York State.

This is a working leadership position, not a strictly supervisory role. The successful candidate will regularly

operate heavy equipment, perform field construction activities, and work alongside the crew while also

managing daily production, safety, quality, and scheduling.

$80,000-$90,000 base salary, depending on experience.

The applicable Operating Engineer prevailing-wage rate will be paid when the employee performs covered work

Per diem and hotel accommodations are provided when eligible for overnight travel.

• Lead and supervise a crew of approximately 5-15 civil craft workers.
• Plan daily work activities and assign labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-task planning meetings.
• Maintain crew productivity while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate with the Civil Superintendent, Survey, QA/QC, Safety, and other project teams.
• Train and mentor crew members on safe work practices and construction methods.
• Monitor production and adjust daily work plans to maintain the project schedule.
• Complete daily reports covering labor, equipment, production quantities, and safety observations.
• Operate heavy equipment and perform civil construction work alongside the crew.
• Support occasional warranty, restoration, and O&M-related civil work as needed.

• Experience with low- to medium-scale utility solar projects.
• Competent Person - Excavation training.
• GPS machine-control experience.
• Knowledge of NYSDOT and NYSDEC standards.
• CDL Class A or Class
