We are working with a well-established and highly respected mechanical contractor in Manhattan that is looking to add an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects across New York City's five boroughs.
As an HVAC Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from contract award through final closeout, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors, engineers, field teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from inception through completion.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and cost management.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
- Lead project meetings, client communications, and site visits throughout New York City's five boroughs.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
- Manage change orders, project documentation, and closeout activities.
- Proven experience managing commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical piping, and equipment installations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from pre-construction through successful completion.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Previous experience managing projects across New York City is highly desirable.
