Construction Project Manager

We have been retained by an established, mid-sized heavy civil contractor with 30+ years in business to identify an experienced Construction Manager for its New York City operations.

The Construction Manager will lead complex heavy civil projects involving sitework, underground utilities, drainage, and stormwater management
. This position requires significant NYC construction experience and the ability to manage projects from planning and mobilization through execution and closeout.

• Lead heavy civil construction projects throughout New York City.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower planning, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Direct sitework, excavation, underground utility, drainage, and stormwater operations.
• Coordinate project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, owners, utilities, and agencies.
• Develop construction sequencing around the logistical requirements of NYC projects.
• Identify and resolve constructability, scheduling, cost, and field issues.
• Manage subcontractor performance, change orders, project documentation, and closeout.
• Maintain accountability for safety, quality, schedule, budget, and project delivery.

• 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Direct New York City construction project experience is required.
• Experience managing sitework and excavation.
• Extensive experience with underground utilities.
• Experience with stormwater management and drainage systems.
• Demonstrated responsibility for project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Ability to interpret civil plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
