Our client is one of the most respected developers in New York City, with a proven track record of delivering some of the most complex large-scale residential and mixed-use developments in the country.
They are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to take ownership of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection operations on a major ground-up development in New York City.
About the Role

• Lead all MEP field operations across a major ground-up development
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and life safety systems
• Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors and field teams
• Drive MEP schedule, sequencing, and milestone delivery
• Coordinate MEP installations with structural, architectural, and interior trades
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and coordination drawings
• Manage MEP inspections, testing, commissioning, sign-offs, and turnover
• Identify clashes and field coordination issues before they impact the schedule
• Ensure installations comply with NYC DOB requirements, project specifications, and quality standards
• Coordinate closely with the General Superintendent, Project Executive, Project Managers, consultants, and ownership
• Utilize Procore for documentation, reporting, RFIs, issue tracking, and field communication
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and accountability throughout construction

• Base salary between $180,000 – $220,000

• Minimum 10+ years of construction experience, with significant experience overseeing MEP systems
• Strong experience as an MEP Superintendent or MEP-focused Superintendent
• Experience working on ground-up multifamily, affordable housing, high-rise residential, or large-scale commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and life safety systems
• Experience taking MEP packages from rough-in through testing, commissioning, sign-off, and final turnover
• Strong understanding of NYC DOB codes, inspections, and construction requirements
• Experience coordinating multiple MEP trades on complex projects
• Good stability throughout your career working for respectable New York City General Contractors.
• Experience working on projects from the early stages of construction through completion
• Strong communication, leadership, and field coordination skills
• Procore experience preferred
