Project Manager - Heavy Civil​/Bridge Construction

Lead major bridge and infrastructure work on Long Island.

Railroad Construction Company, Inc. (RCC) is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead bridge and infrastructure projects in eastern Long Island. This role is ideal for a contractor-side PM with hands‑on experience managing complex bridge, roadway, structural concrete, or similar heavy civil construction.

Project sites are located in eastern Suffolk County. Weekday lodging is available
, allowing us to consider experienced heavy civil professionals from throughout the greater NY/NJ/CT region who are comfortable with a project-based schedule.

• Manage heavy civil and bridge construction projects from preconstruction and mobilization through closeout.
• Partner closely with field Superintendents to develop work plans, sequencing, means and methods, and project schedules.
• Own project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost controls, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Manage relationships with owners, engineers, agencies, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Oversee procurement of critical materials and equipment.
• Monitor CPM schedules and project performance using P6 or equivalent scheduling tools.
• Champion RCC's safety and quality standards throughout project execution.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Engineers and other project staff.

• Demonstrated Project Management experience with a heavy civil contractor

• Experience with bridge construction, rehabilitation, structural concrete, roadway, or comparable infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
• Proven responsibility for project budgets, cost forecasting, schedules, change management, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to work effectively with field operations and understand construction sequencing, means and methods, and self-perform work.
• Experience working with public agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA/LIRR or similar transportation authorities is a plus.
