Role Overview
Pro Source Group is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of an established general contractor delivering commercial construction projects throughout Manhattan.
The Project Manager will report to the Director of Projects and oversee projects averaging approximately $5 million. This is a fully on-site position involving responsibility for projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction, closeout and final handover.
Pro Source Group requires at least four years of commercial construction project management experience. Commercial interiors, fit-out and renovation experience is strongly preferred, although Project Managers from a broader commercial background will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and procurement plans.
- Coordinate clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and site teams.
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, forecasts and potential financial risks.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to the Director of Projects.
- Work closely with field teams to maintain progress, quality and site coordination.
- Ensure work complies with contract documents, drawings and specifications.
- Manage punch lists, closeout documentation and final project handover.
- At least four years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Experience managing schedules, budgets, procurement and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders and cost control.
- Ability to coordinate clients, consultants, field teams and project stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial interiors, fit-out or renovation experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates from a broader commercial construction background will also be considered.
- Ability to work fully on-site in Manhattan.
- Approximately $150,000, depending on experience.
