Sustainable Partners is recruiting experienced Construction Project Managers on behalf of leading solar and battery-storage developers and EPC contractors across the US. With utility-scale build pipelines expanding through 2026 and 2027, our clients are seeking Project Managers who can take PV and BESS projects from mobilization through to energization and closeout. These are permanent roles with strong packages and clear progression toward senior and director-level construction leadership.
Keyresponsibilities
- Plan, execute and take ownership of significant scopes of self-perform and subcontracted work, managing large field crews on site
- Own project budget, billings, cash flow, aged receivables and accurate cost forecasting
- Present and negotiate change orders with the owner to timely resolution
- Develop and maintain the project schedule, resolving disputes through sound schedule practice
- Develop and implement site-specific quality management and safety plans, ensuring contract compliance
- Train, supervise and mentor project personnel
- Manage relationships across owners, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams
- Maintain awareness of utility and ISO interconnection processes
- 5+ years of field construction management, including supervisory responsibility (utility-scale solar strongly preferred; C&I / community solar or BESS considered)
- Strong understanding of utility-scale PV construction means, methods, sequencing and techniques
- Working knowledge of project controls: scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating
- Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam; construction ERP experience (e.g. CMiC, Procore) an advantage
- Sound grasp of fundamental contract law and project accounting
- Able to travel extensively to remote jobsites (minimum ~50%)
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred, or equivalent field experience
- Competitive six-figure salary plus project bonuses and full benefits
- A pipeline of major utility-scale solar and storage projects
- Genuine progression toward Senior PM and Director of Construction level
- The chance to build some of the largest clean-energy projects in the country
