Assistant Construction Superintendent

Job Description

Worth Construction Co. Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent with experience supporting the management of field operations on a large scale complex education project in Middletown, NY.

The individual shall be responsible for supporting the lead Superintendent in all aspects of supervising field operations and labor forces for an assigned project(s) including, but not limited to, jobsite safety and quality; project schedule; safe work plans; and material procurement, among other responsibilities. The individual will be expected to clearly understand company safety policies in the field (i.e., Safe Work Plans, PPP), interpret drawings and navigate specifications;

and, within a reasonable time frame, be able to learn and independently perform any individual Superintendent task.

Successful candidates will meet most, if not all, of the below criteria:

• Experience supporting the supervision of field operations on large-scale complex project and managing at least one, single field operation assigned
• Understanding of construction safety principals and best practices
• Understanding of civil, structural, and/or carpentry disciplines
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Foxit, Excel and Submittal Exchange Software
