Assistant Project Manager – NYC Interiors General Contractor

An established New York City interiors-focused General Contractor is looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing project management team.

The firm delivers high-quality projects across the commercial, corporate, hospitality, retail, and residential interiors sectors throughout New York City.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to take on greater project responsibility and develop toward a Project Manager position.

• Support Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost tracking.
• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, consultants, and clients.
• Assist with subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and contract administration.
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to resolve project issues and maintain schedules.

• 2–5+ years of construction experience
  , preferably with a NYC General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.

• $80,000–$120,000 base salary, dependent on experience + Bonus ($) + Benefits
