Laland Baptiste, LLC is seeking an experienced

Construction Inspector to support concrete, structural steel façade, and masonry work on a large-scale public construction project in the Bronx.

• Perform daily inspections of concrete, structural steel façade, and masonry construction activities.
• Inspect formwork, reinforcing steel/rebar, embeds, concrete placement, curing, and related structural work.
• Monitor masonry installation, including CMU, brick, mortar, reinforcing, flashing, and related façade components.
• Inspect exterior envelope/façade work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Verify materials and workmanship meet contract documents and applicable codes.
• Coordinate required concrete testing and review field testing activities.
• Identify deficiencies and document non-conforming work.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, photographs, and field documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, construction management staff, testing agencies, and other inspectors.
• Assist with punch-list inspections and corrective work.

• 7-10 years of construction inspection experience involving concrete, masonry, structural, or façade work preferred.
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, reinforcing steel, masonry construction, and building-envelope systems.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Experience onlarge commercial, institutional, government, or public-sector projects preferred.
• NYC public-agency construction experience is a plus.
• Relevant concrete, masonry, welding, façade, or special inspection certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong field documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Bronx.
