This full-time, on-site Estimator role is based in New York, NY. The Estimator is responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity take-offs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC and related construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing labor, material, and equipment requirements; requesting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes; and assisting in bid preparation and proposal writing. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and field teams to refine estimates, track project costs, and update pricing data.

The Estimator will maintain organized documentation, support negotiations with clients and partners, and contribute to improving estimating tools and processes.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience with construction or HVAC estimating software and proficiency in common office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, construction methods, building codes, and industry standards relevant to mechanical contracting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, vendors, engineers, and internal project teams.
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Prior experience as an Estimator or in a related construction or mechanical field is strongly preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Commitment to safety, ethical business practices, and continuous learning in estimating techniques and market pricing.
