Lead Estimator; CM​/Brooklyn

A well-established NYC General Contractor is seeking a Lead Estimator to join its Brooklyn-based team.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an estimator with substantial experience delivering estimates for multi-storey residential and mixed-use developments across New York City. The successful person will report to the Director of Estimation and take a leading role across the full preconstruction process, from early tender through to project buyout.

• Lead detailed quantity take-offs and full estimate preparation
• Prepare and manage RFP packages for subcontractors and vendors
• Analyse, review and level subcontractor proposals
• Complete scope reviews, identify gaps and ensure full trade coverage
• Support value-engineering exercises and cost-saving initiatives
• Lead or support post-award buyout
• Collaborate with the estimating director, project teams and subcontractors
• Mentor and oversee junior estimators

• 10+ years of construction estimating experience in the NYC market
• General Contractor experience is strongly preferred
• Strong multi-storey residential background; mixed-use experience is also highly relevant
• Experience estimating projects valued at $30m+
• Proven ability to manage estimates from tender through buyout
• Strong commercial awareness, organisation and communication skills

• $170,000 depending on experience.
