An opportunity is available in Clay, New York
, to join one of the most significant semiconductor manufacturing and construction projects underway in the U.S.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager / EHS Safety Professional with semiconductor construction experience to serve as an Owner’s Representative Safety Consultant supporting this major project.

This is not a traditional staff safety position.

As an Owner’s Representative
, you will serve as the owner’s eyes, ears, and voice in the field—providing construction safety oversight, monitoring contractor performance, identifying high-risk activities, and ensuring contractors comply with their own safety programs, project requirements, and applicable OSHA regulations.

Candidates with experience in semiconductor fabs, high-tech construction, advanced manufacturing, data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, or other large-scale industrial construction environments are encouraged to apply; however,
direct semiconductor construction experience is required
.

Construction Safety & EHS Oversight

• Provide day-to-day construction safety oversight across active semiconductor construction work areas.
• Monitor general contractors, subcontractors, and trade partners for compliance with project safety expectations.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections, field audits, hazard assessments, and compliance observations
  .
• Track corrective actions and follow up on identified safety deficiencies.
• Evaluate contractor implementation of EHS programs, site-specific safety plans, JSAs, JHAs, AHAs, pre-task plans, and permits
  .

• Monitor compliance with OSHA 1926 Construction Standards
  , applicable state requirements, and site-specific EHS standards.
• Review high-risk work planning including:
• Fall Protection
• LOTO / Control of Hazardous Energy
• Confined Space
• Electrical Safety
• Cranes and Rigging
• Critical Lifts
• Excavation
• Scaffolding
• Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
• Hot Work
• Provide guidance to project stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements and construction safety best practices.
• Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and emerging project risks before they result in incidents.
• Partner with contractors and project leadership to develop effective corrective actions.
• Participate in near-miss reviews, learning teams, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
  .
• Escalate significant safety concerns to owner leadership with clear recommendations.
• Support proactive risk reduction and serious-injury/fatality prevention efforts
  .

• Serve as a liaison between the owner, general contractor, subcontractors, construction management, and EHS teams
  .
• Ensure contractors are operating in accordance with their contractual safety obligations and approved safety programs.
• Participate in OAC meetings, construction coordination meetings, contractor safety meetings, and project planning discussions
  .
• Provide accurate daily field reports, weekly safety summaries, trend reporting, and non-compliance documentation
  .
• Maintain a professional owner-first approach while building productive relationships with contractor leadership and field personnel.
