Our Podcast Marketing team is dedicated to the strategic planning and execution of all consumer marketing efforts to develop our show’s audiences across audio, video, and social, ultimately helping us strengthen Vox Media’s overall podcast business. Ultimately, our job is to grow and foster our audiences wherever they want to experience our content, whether in audio, video, social, or IRL.

- Supervise show producers, including overseeing the work of creative leads.
- Develop original show concepts, pilots, and formats in key categories such as sports, lifestyle, and culture.
- Act as a creative lead and quality steward for audio/video productions across platforms (You Tube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.).
- Scout and cultivate host talent in key categories, evaluating for original perspectives and charismatic presence, deep connections with an online community, and alignment with Vox Media’s commitment to excellent, high quality content at scale.
- Collaborate closely with talent management, marketing, and sales teams to align programming with broader company goals.
- Provide production oversight, including scripting, creative feedback, and troubleshooting executional challenges.
- Guide the creative strategy for new launches with a keen understanding of platform nuances (You Tube algorithms vs. Reels engagement vs audio podcast promotion).
- Stay current on trends in digital content, platform algorithms, and audience behavior.
- 7+ years of experience in digital content development, production, or show running at a media company, creator‑led venture, or production studio.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful shows on platforms like You Tube, Tik Tok, Instagram, or podcast networks.
- Experience working directly with influencers, creators, or talent management teams to build scalable, personality‑driven IP.
- Strong creative instincts combined with technical production fluency—you’ve been in the weeds of video production and understand how to coordinate with teams on lighting/set pieces, editing, and post‑production.
- Deep familiarity with the podcast landscape, and how podcast strategy differs from other visual‑first formats.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to balance brand tone, platform expectations, and audience needs.
- Highly organized and self‑motivated, able to drive projects from concept to delivery.
