We are looking for a Freelance Technical Designer for Intimate apparel for a well known corporate retail company. This is a hybrid freelance position and operates 3 days onsite in their NYC office.
Hourly pay rate is up to $40.00 based on experience in bras, panties and intimate apparel.
Responsibilities- Executes the technical design process from development to final fit.
- Analyzes and evaluates garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
- Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications.
- Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors / factories for approvals and corrections.
- Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in technical design.
- Excellent problem solver.
- Ability to maintain composure in a stressful situation.
