Overview
A fashion brand is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to support intimates and shapewear categories. This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for executing the technical design process from development through final fit while ensuring quality, consistency, and cost targets are met.
Responsibilities- Execute technical design from development through final approval
- Analyze garments and develop accurate fit specifications
- Lead or participate in fittings and write clear, actionable fit comments
- Communicate pattern corrections and approvals to vendors and factories
- Maintain tech packs, BOMs, and sample approvals
- Partner cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing
- Ensure products meet fit, quality, and manufacturing standards
- 7+ years of Technical Design experience (intimates or apparel preferred)
- Strong ownership of fittings and fit communication
- Experience with Centric PLM, Flex PLM, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent experience
- Typically reports to Technical Services Manager
- May provide guidance to Assistant or Associate Technical Designers
- Onsite 5 days per week in Manhattan
