Children's Art Teacher​/summer session

The Art Guild of Port Washington, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging, educating, and inspiring the community through the visual arts. Located in Port Washington, NY, the Guild provides artists and art enthusiasts with opportunities to explore and develop their creativity. It offers art classes, workshops, lectures, and community projects designed to foster artistic growth and appreciation. Open to people of all artistic levels, The Art Guild serves as a space to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the visual arts.

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Children s Art Teacher at The Art Guild of Port Washington, located in Manhasset, NY. The Children s Art Teacher will be responsible for planning lessons, teaching art to children from diverse backgrounds, and fostering creativity in a supportive and engaging environment. Responsibilities include designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum for both school-year and summer session programs, teaching a variety of art techniques, and encouraging children s artistic expression through interactive projects and activities.

We are currently looking for an instructor to add to our strong education team - for one day after school and/or Saturday or Sunday mornings. We also need one to two weeks over the summer in our camp.

• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for children’s art programs
• Expertise in various art techniques, such as Painting and other creative mediums
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A passion for working with children to foster their creativity
• Previous experience in an art-related teaching role is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field is a plus
