With more than 25 years in the industry, the brand is known for its refined aesthetic, quality craftsmanship, and consistent delivery of relevant, must-have pieces each season.

Position Overview

Client is seeking a full-time Associate Designer, Women’s Woven to support the Senior Designer and broader design team across all stages of the design and development process. This role is highly hands‑on and offers exposure from concept and research through fittings, final approvals, and production handoff. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about contemporary women’s woven apparel, with a strong eye for detail and a desire to grow within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Designer in daily design tasks, including sample tracking, organizing racks, managing incoming/outgoing packages, and maintaining seasonal archives.
  • Maintain and organize all fabric, trim, and wash libraries for the woven category, ensuring accurate labeling and easy accessibility for the team.
  • Receive, comment on, and track all seasonal color, fabric, print, and trim submits in alignment with brand standards and calendar timelines.
  • Assist in the creation, setup, and maintenance of tech packs, ensuring specifications, BOMs, and construction details are accurate and up to date.
  • Partner with Technical Design to review garment construction, attend fittings, document fit comments, and follow through on revisions with factories.
  • Participate in seasonal concept development by researching trends, fabrics, and silhouettes, and help build physical and digital inspiration boards.
  • Sketch and develop styles for the women’s woven line under direction of the Senior Designer, contributing fresh ideas that are brand‑right and customer‑focused.
  • Create, update, and refine CAD sketches for all woven styles, providing clear visual communication for internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Merchandising, Sales, and Showroom teams to share information, confirm details, and support cross‑functional deadlines.
  • Assist with preparation for line reviews, milestone meetings, and market appointments, including sample coordination, presentation materials, and boards.
  • Help maintain and update line sheets, style lists, and product data in relevant PLM or order‑entry systems.
  • Support the planning and execution of seasonal photoshoots as needed, including sample checklists, styling support, and on‑set organization.
  • Monitor and organize sample comments from sales and showrooms, helping communicate line changes and updates to key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to brand storytelling by supporting social media and digital content needs related to design (e.g., behind‑the‑scenes, new collection highlights), as requested.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a fashion design role, ideally with a focus on women’s woven apparel.
  • Strong aesthetic aligned with contemporary womenswear and the ability to interpret runway and street trends for a modern, wearable customer.
  • Comfort working with technical specs, garment construction, and fit; prior fitting room experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required; strong digital sketching and CAD skills a must.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for line plans, presentations, and communication tools.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast‑paced, calendar‑driven environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and team‑oriented, with a willingness to handle both creative and administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems, Apparel Magic, JOOR, or similar platforms is a plus.
