Seeking Accompanist for 2026 Programs & Performances
Underground Skills Exchange (USE), a NYC-based theater company, is looking to build lasting relationships with one or two accompanists for our 2026 programming. Our small, passionate team produces artist workshops, public performances (Variety Cabaret, Devised Theater, End of Year Celebration), and our unique open mic series, Evening of Sharing.

Role:
Provide accompaniment for internal programs, rehearsals, and public performances.
Compensation: $100/hour
Work available each quarter, with busiest periods in Q2–Q4.
Frequency:
High priority need in Q1 is for a vocal artist workshop on March 21st.
We value artists who connect with our mission and collaborative spirit. Specifically for this accompanist position, we are looking for pianists who are comfortable accompanying musical theatre performers and doing majority sight reading.
After submissions, we'll invite selected candidates for a Zoom conversation during the week of 2/23 to get to know each other.
